利用政府間氣候變化委員會第四次評估報(bào)告（IPCC AR4）中等強(qiáng)度溫室氣體排放情景試驗(yàn)（SRES A1B）多個耦合模式的輸出結(jié)果，通過多模式集合的方法分析全球變暖背景下東亞副熱帶西風(fēng)急流的變化特征，發(fā)現(xiàn)在多模式集合平均結(jié)果中，隨著溫室氣體增多、溫室效應(yīng)進(jìn)一步加劇，冬季急流強(qiáng)度增強(qiáng)，急流位置向北移動，夏季急流強(qiáng)度也呈現(xiàn)出增強(qiáng)的趨勢，位置卻向南移動。在全球變暖背景下，冬季北半球從低緯到中高緯度對流層中高層溫度將增加，但低緯增溫強(qiáng)、高緯增溫弱，導(dǎo)致副熱帶地區(qū)溫度梯度增加，夏季增溫幅度比冬季大，且強(qiáng)增溫區(qū)向北移，造成急流軸北側(cè)區(qū)域溫度梯度增大，并通過熱成風(fēng)關(guān)系使得急流區(qū)緯向風(fēng)增強(qiáng)。

Abstract:

The effect of enhanced greenhouse warming on the changes of subtropical westerly jet in location and intensity over east Asia is examined , using the multi-model monthly mean output simulated by coupled climate models participating in the IPCC AR4 (Fourth Assessment Report) diagnostic exercise. Results are presented for the A1B scenarios which were produced using a moderate increasing levels of greenhouse gases. For the enhanced greenhouse warming experiments, the muti-model ensemble simulated an intensification in the westerly jet intensity and a northward migration of jet axis in winter, compared with 20th century simulation results. In summer, the westerly jet intensifies and migrates southward. The temperature increase in low latitudes is stronger than that in the high latitudes, leading to an intensification in the meridional temperature gradient in the lower troposphere over subtropical region. This meridional temperature gradient is responsible for the changes in the location and intensity of the westerly jet over east Asia.
