Abstract:Based on records per minute of direct radiation, total radiation, air temperature, ground surface temperature, the difference between air temperature and ground surface temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, cloud cover and the occurreence time of every stage of a total solar eclipse, the authors analyzed the changes of the 8 meteorological elements during July 22, 2009 in Wuhan city. The results showed that: (1) The change characteristics of direct radiation and total radiation were basically the same, and the correlation coefficient was as high as 09, however the total radiation value had decreased sharply.(2) The change characteristics of air temperature, ground surface temperature and the difference of air temperature and ground surface temperature appeared similarly, which experienced rise-drop-rise process and the time of extreme air temperature has been lagged. (3) The change tendency of relative humidity assumed rise-maintenance-drop process, and the peak duration time was 19 min. (4) Wind speed was “w”-type changes in characteristics from first contact to min totality, but it appeared “decrease-increase” in characteristic during min totality to forth contact. (5) During the total solar eclipse all meteorological factors but wind speed and cloud cover have changed significantly, so it can be concluded that the majority of meteorological elements undergo significant change.
