Synchronization comparison of the L-band system with GPS has been applied in the analysis on the errors of current high-altitude wind algorithm caused in general circumstances and in extreme cases when there is misjudgment or it is unable to determine the wind changes. Now the upper air sounding system is realized automatically. Under the conditions of seconds-scale coordinate data of sampling density and the completion of the calculation with the computer, method of calculation should be able to improve correspondingly. In this paper, we used the relevant WMO technical requirements as standard and explored to improve the spatial resolution of detecting high-altitude wind, the accuracy of the calculation, the precise description of the vertical wind changes and its concrete implementation approach, in order to improve the accuracy of the high-altitude wind measurements.
