利用區(qū)域氣候模式RegCM3對江淮流域梅雨期的降水和大氣環(huán)流進(jìn)行10 a的數(shù)值模擬,通過與再分析和觀測資料的對比,評估RegCM3對江淮流域梅雨期降水和大氣環(huán)流特征的模擬能力。數(shù)值模擬結(jié)果的分析表明,RegCM3能夠較好地模擬出江淮流域梅雨期大氣高低空環(huán)流的基本配置、相應(yīng)的強(qiáng)濕度梯度和弱溫度梯度等基本特征以及江淮流域上空的假相當(dāng)位溫濕舌和其北側(cè)的強(qiáng)梯度帶,從而較為合理地再現(xiàn)了梅雨期雨帶的位置。與此同時,模擬結(jié)果的不足主要表現(xiàn)在模擬的梅雨鋒強(qiáng)度偏弱,對流不穩(wěn)定能量釋放位置偏南,江淮流域降水偏少,華南地區(qū)降水偏多。

Abstract:

The performance of RegCM3 in simulating the rainfall and associated circulation in Meiyu Period of the Yangtze-Huaihe river valleys is examined in comparison with the reanalysis data and observation. The results show that the RegCM3 can simulate the basic configuration of atmospheric circulation at high and low levels and successfully reproduce the main characteristics in the strong humidity and weak temperature gradient in the Meiyu period in the Yangtze-Huaihe river valleys. The humidity tongue of pseudo-equivalent potential temperature over the valleys and the strong gradient zone to the north are also well simulated. As a result, the Meiyu rain belt is basically simulated. Nevertheless, the simulated Meiyu front is relatively weak and the location of convective instability energy release is far south in comparison with that in the reanalysis data, resulting in the less simulated rainfall in the Yangtze and Huaihe river valleys and abundant rainfall in South China region. What is responsible for the bias and how to improve the performance of RegCM3 need to be further studied.
