利用一次東亞副熱帶高空急流演變過程的高分辨率數(shù)值模擬結(jié)果,采用Morlet小波分析和Fourier功率譜分析方法,以3階和4階曲線擬合為例,研究了提取大氣重力波參數(shù)時(shí)常用的曲線擬合背景場(chǎng)獲取方法的缺陷。結(jié)果表明:雖然4階擬合對(duì)原始風(fēng)廓線的擬合程度高于3階擬合,但基于4階擬合背景場(chǎng)得到風(fēng)速擾動(dòng)垂直廓線后,所提取的重力波參數(shù)和實(shí)際情況的差異大于3階曲線擬合方法的結(jié)果。因此,不能將背景場(chǎng)對(duì)原始風(fēng)廓線的擬合程度作為判斷重力波參數(shù)提取準(zhǔn)確率的依據(jù)。曲線擬合方法在大多數(shù)情況下會(huì)使擾動(dòng)場(chǎng)中包含背景場(chǎng)信號(hào),且所包含的背景場(chǎng)信號(hào)強(qiáng)度差異很大,同時(shí)還會(huì)引入虛假波信號(hào)。所以在提取大氣重力波參數(shù)時(shí),采用曲線擬合方法獲取背景場(chǎng)存在缺陷,需要設(shè)計(jì)更合理的背景場(chǎng)獲取方法。

Abstract:

Based on the numerical simulation results for the case of subtropical upper level jet over east Asia, this paper took the 3th-order or 4th-order curve fitting for example to analyze the deficiency of the curve fitting method for background fields widely used in atmospheric gravity wave parameters (AGWPs) estimation with Morlet wavelet transform and Fourier power spectrum techniques. The results showed the deficiency of estimated AGWPs from the wind perturbation profile obtained from the background field with 4th-order curve fitting method was greater than that with 3th-order one, though the 4th-order background field is more realistic than 3th-order background field in simulating the original wind profile. Thus, the degree of fitting original wind profile by background fields cannot become the basis for judging accuracy in gravity wave parameters estimation, which will make the background field signal with different intensity which include the perturbation fields in most cases. And, the false signal would also be introduced. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a suitable method to obtain the background fields of the wind and temperature profiles in AGWPs estimation.
