利用MPAS（Model for Prediction Across Scales）和北京大學(xué)淺水模式（PKU_SWM）對余弦鐘和Rossby-Haurwitz波理想個(gè)例進(jìn)行了模擬。結(jié)果表明：在余弦鐘測試中，MPAS能更好的模擬出余弦鐘的基本形態(tài)，但模擬結(jié)果的絕對誤差較大；網(wǎng)格分辨率提高后，MPAS模擬效果提升得更明顯。在Rossby-Haurwitz波測試中，MPAS模擬的槽脊位置和強(qiáng)度更加接近于初始分布形態(tài)，PKU_SWM模擬的槽脊的強(qiáng)度偏強(qiáng)，位置偏西，MPAS模擬效果整體要優(yōu)于PKU_SWM；網(wǎng)格分辨率提高后，兩模式模擬效果都有較大的提升。

Abstract:

In order to comparatively analyze the simulation performance of the models with icosahedron mesh and latitude-longitude mesh, the Model for Prediction Across Scales (MPAS) and PKU_SWM are used to simulate Cosine bell and Ross-by-Haurwitz wave. Results show that the MPAS can better simulate the basic state of Cosine bell under low resolution, but the absolute errors of the simulated results are bigger. The simulation effects are improved more obviously with the resolution improvement. From the results of Rossby-Haurwitz wave test, the simulated location and intensity of the trough-ridge from MPAS are much closer to the actual cases, but from PKU_SWM they are more westerly and stronger. On the whole, the simulation effects of MPAS are better than the PKU_SWM. Besides, the results of the two models are greatly improved with the resolution improvement.
