Abstract:Based on the observations of major meteorological elements in Sichuan Province from 1980 to 2017, the spatial analysis method of ArcGIS was used to discuss the inter-annual spatial changes of temperature, precipitation, and extreme climate index separately. At the same time, an extreme climate index system was established to carried out comprehensive extreme climate index zoning through combining Entropy weight method and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. Finally, the Sichuan Province's comprehensive climate change zoning from 1980 to 2017 was completed. Results show that the incidence of extreme climate events in Sichuan Province presents increasing trend from 1980 to 2017, and the regional distribution is generally high in the east and low in the west. According to the regionalization of temperature and precipitation change rate and comprehensive extreme climate index, Sichuan Province is divided into six climate change regions. Among them, the northeast Sichuan region has the fastest comprehensive climate change rate, mainly including Nanchong, Guangyuan, Guang'an, Bazhong, Dazhou, and Suining.
