Abstract:In order to study the process of storm surges in Zhejiang region and the surrounding waters, this article established a hydrodynamic calculation model specifically for the coastal area of Zhejiang. Compared with other types of models, it is reasonably simplified, with wind field as the main influencing factor, and more intuitively studies the changes in the coastal waters during typhoons. It has the advantage of convenient use and fast calculation speed. Typhoon “Lekima” of 2019 and Typhoon “Yunna” of 2004 were selected for simulation. By studying the terrain, tidal level, tidal current, meteorological and other measured data of the sea area or region, the simulation of tidal current field was analyzed, so as to have a more comprehensive understanding of the tidal characteristics and tidal current field in the waters near Zhejiang, determine safe and reliable parameters of tidal and tidal characteristics, and understand the natural phenomenon of storm surge and its generation mechanism. This has important scientific significance and practical value for the safety, economic development, and shipping of Zhejiang.
